Graduation 2010

The Class of 2010 Becomes WCHS Alumni

The weather was perfect for the Class of 2010's Commencement Ceremony and celebrations.

Greeted by Juniors Sarah Ahrens, Chelsea Burger, and Jenna Uher, the audience soon filled the new bleachers in the gym

Following the processional played by the high school band, Student Council President, Zac Stubbs, welcomed everyone to the ceremonies.

Mrs. Glenna Heller, Counselor, introduced the senior members of the National Honor Society and Mr. Ron Oltman, Principal, presented the Southern Nebraska Conference Academic All-Conference Awards.

The senior Honor Students were then presented by Mrs. Heller.  This is the first year that a new policy was in place for academic recognition.  All students with a grade point average of 4.0 are recognized.   There were six students with this achievement this year:  Amanda Baldwin, Andrew Pryor, Katelyn Koll, Kessa Rezny, Sabrina Plouzek, and Kristi Moore.  Kessa Rezny gave the valedictory speech. Sabrina Plouzek was the speaking salutatorian.

Scholarships were presented.  Wilber-Clatonia was able to award a large number of scholarships thanks the the WC Foundation. 

School Service Awards were presented to:   (5 years ),  Julie Kastanek (10 years) Jamie Bates (20), Keith Muller (25) and Dave Newmyer (30) .

Staff members who are retiring were recognized: Glenna Heller, Sherry Marks, and David Rokusek.

The diplomas were awards and then the Graduate Memory Video was shown.
