The Country’s Best Youth (TCBY) hosted its annual Back to School Dance last Friday at the Sokol Hall from 8 to 11:30 pm. The dance was huge success as many students attended and stayed until the last dance.
The dj was “Rigo”, who played music for the 60’s Flower Power themed dance.
The Sokols’ sold a variety of non-alcohol drinks especially for the students such as Shirley Temples, Roy Rogers, and virgin margaritas and daiquiris.
Chaperones included: Ted and Diane Troshynski, Sheila VanLaningham, Nicole Krivohlavek, RJ Zurcher, Rita Blanco, and association adviser, Janet Burger.
The dance was free and was open to students in grades 7-12.
The next meeting of the WC TCBY is August 25 at 7 pm. There is no cost to join the TCBY and any student, grades 7 thru 12 is welcome.
The association strives to provide fun activities and to teach students the value of remaining drug and alcohol free.
